Ryan Adams 2014 on the Moon and Stream Life After Deaf

It has been quite a year for the rejuvenated Mr Adams what with a Grammy nominated M.O.R album and then 4 self released EPs - 1984 10 tracks of 1-2 minutes of Husker Du/Lemonheads like punk then Jacksonville with 2 great country rock tracks, then Vampires with 2 pretty good punk rock numbers and a bit of pretty amusing weirdness and then finally Do You Lie When You Laugh? which contains 2 more slices of rawk and a lovely acoustic number.

As for the album - it is not his best but it is at least consistent in sound. I have no idea how some reviewers detect a Smiths/Morrissey influence but there is definitely Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac and even Bryan Adams but all at their very best.

But what is great in this day and age is that it is so easy for him to get all his output out their and then his fans can pick and choose their favourite parts, instead of the record company, as I have done below. It is also great that he lets his hardcore fans get the vinyl first up but then makes it all available everywhere - Taylor Swift he ain't.

And so also now available on both Deezer and Spotify is his Life After Deaf boxset which has every concert from a recent solo acoustic tour of Europe - 174 track in all.

Also for lot more great but mostly "unreleased" tracks from Mr Adams check out Ryan Adams Re-demolition on the Moon
