The magnificent "Dame Angelina" in Maleficent.

Your Cultural Correspondent (Film and Theatre) thinks that (Dame) Angelina Jolie acted everything and everyone else off the screen in 'Maleficent'.  Whether that was because Dame A was good or because everything and everyone else was the opposite is a matter of interpretation.

Your Cultural Correspondent (Film and Theatre) thought that 'The Young and Prodigious T S Spivet' was wonderful in every way.  But there were two things of especial magnificence: the splendour of Dame-Pending Judy Davis and, above all else, the quite exceptional lead actor, Master Kyle Catlett.
