Ricky Ross - Trouble Came Looking for me on the Moon

Yes the Ricky Ross of Deacon Blue fame has recently released a quite brilliant album. Earlier this year I was impressed with his contribution to the excellent Whatever Get You Through the Night compilation which also includes tracks by the wonderful Emma Pollock and the legendary Eugene Kelly and is also available via Deezer and Spotify. If Jeff Tweedy from Wlico doing Billy Bragg/Woody Guthrie songs with just an acoustic guitar sounds like your cup of tea then check it out on the playlist below.

It also includes a great song interpretation of a modern Scottish poem by Craig Smillie The Sang o the Saracen Maid. Why back to Spotify? Well they have just launched their Web Player so there is no need to download an app to listen and it is available across the pond unlike Deezer. Also over in the USA you are not yet restricted to 5 plays per track. For the rest of the world if you use up your free plays then you can find it on Deezer.
