Father John Misty: I Love You, Honeybear on the Moon

Father John in action.
This is the first new record for quite a while that I think improves on its predecessor and Fear Fun was a very fine record indeed with the excellent Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings featuring on A Best of 2012 on the Moon.  His real name is Joshua Tillman and he was previously most famous as a onetime drummer in the Fleet Foxes but he has also released seven albums and a soundtrack under the the name of J.Tillman.  Father John Misty is very much Mr Tillman in character and the transformation from the J. Tillman records is akin to May Jailer to Lana Del Rey and it is no surprise to learn that Miss Grant is a fan.

It is an early contender for album of the year and it is also a very romantic record but it should also tickle yer fancy much more than going to see Fifty Shades of Grey...
