Emma Ruth Rundle on the Moon

This is a new album from an artist best known for being a guitarist in an instrumental post rock outfit called Red Sparrows, however this record could not be described as that at all as it is mainly acoustic songs sung beautifully. It reminds me a lot of Gemma Hayes at her most ethereal and atmospheric.

It is only 8 songs and a couple wash by but there are some great songs like Arms I know So Well and Run Forever as well as the last track which I presume is about what Mr Churchill called Black Dog rather than a furry creature. Check it out via Bandcamp below and it is also available to stream/sync in the usual places.
