The Luxembourg Signal on the Moon

This is a cracking debut album but the band members are old hands as they have risen from the ashes of the band Aberdeen which was active in the early 90's and then again in the early 00's along with various other projects. It brilliantly covers most of the indie rock styles of the last 30 year with just 9 songs. It kicks off with some pretty current sounding psychedelic rock but then goes C86, Pixies, shoegazy, REM/Byrds like jangle and then ends with the poptastically brilliant Let it Go.

It is pretty much what I would hope a collaboration between Martin Carr and Hope Sandoval would sound like and if that don't tickle yer fancy then there is no hope.
